Seriously guys, you have to try Kale chips. They’re delicious, super healthy and easy to make. All my friends were reluctant at first but once they tried them they actually liked them. I like mine with garlic powder and just a hint of paprika. You can use various spices to change the taste and I can bet you won’t miss your old potato chips.

    • Kerry

I was interested when I saw Kale chips. I have never tried them before but I have Kale seeds and have grown my own Kale. You can’t get much healthier than growing organic Kale for the chips, I’ll be giving it a try.
I like your idea of garlic and paprika, thank you.

  • Brandon Stevens

Almonds are my go to snack whether I’m at home or at work. I make them myself but I never use salt, I just roast them, sometimes till they get a deeper brown color. They are super healthy but it’s best not to overindulge yourself because they have about 550 calories per cup. ¼ a cup should be your maximum daily “dose” of almonds if you don’t want to gain weight.

  • Craig111

I always loved popcorn but the commercial kind is way too oily and fattening so I shifted to air popped popcorn. I don’t add salt or any other spices but I think it’s an acquired taste. My mother can’t touch this stuff so I guess it’s not for everyone. I honestly don’t feel like I’m missing anything…

  • Crazyduck

Whenever I craved something my mother always gave me apples and peanut butter. As a kid I always thought this kinda sucked because I saw all these children having cake or cupcakes while I was munching on apples. Now I’m grateful she did her own thing and made sure we ate healthy stuff because I don’t have weight problems or crave sugar.

  • Corina

Mix Greek yoghurt with a fruit you like and you have the perfect snack. I don’t use honey or any sweeteners as I find it unnecessary plus it’s not that healthy. My favorite combo is freezing cold yogurt with a few cubes of juicy watermelon, hmmm, mouth-watering! Another fave is with kiwis and one pineapple slice, I usually eat this when I crave sugar really bad.

  • Diane Bourque

I have done the Chocolate Covered Strawberries and they are absolutely amazing in my opinion!

  • Desnee

My sister is always telling me that my food is healthier for me the closer it is to how nature intended it. I try to be good and find some natural foods absolutely scrumptious but still find myself falling in to bad habits sometimes.
I think the best way is to find tasty new favourites and some of these recommendations are delicious. I love cinnamon and it will satisfy my sweet craving.

  • Harry

Mozzarella is one of my all time weaknesses. I love the recipe on here including Mozzarella. Immediately on reading all of your suggestive recipes, I can’t help wondering what grilled pineapple with mozzarella would be like.

  • Jamie

Sometimes I just want to have something nice and chewy and the Turkey Jerk would meet that craving for me. I am unaware of how to make it, so will be using your extremely helpfully left link to the “how to” post. It may keep my mouth occupied enough to stop sweets and naughty junk food getting in there.

  • Samantha D

Oatmeal, fruit and honey is my favourite meal to have about an hour before I go to the gym. It isn’t always about calories and this is where people trip up.
Oatmeal stabilizes blood sugars and releases energy over a longer period of time than anything else. I love it!
